Conference Registration FAQ

Q – I am trying to access different sections of the FIDI Conference 2013 website, but I can't access them. Can you help me?
A – The conference pages of the FIDI website are only visible to FIDI members who have been recorded in the FIDI Database. In order to register yourself, please go to the “My FIDI Data” page on the FIDI website, and select “register new user”. From there, please follow the instructions. You with then shortly afterwards receive a log in and password.

Q - How much does it cost to register 1 person for the annual FIDI conference?
A –  Please consult the conference rates on the FIDI Conference website at http://www.fidi.org/Event/Conference/2013/Registration

Q - I have participated in 2 LiM Seminars, am I also entitled to the discount?
A – Unfortunately not, the FIDI Academy EIM/MIM Student rebate is for only eligible to those who have attended an EIM and/or MIM in the last three years (2010/2011/2012)

Q - I do not seem to have received the personalized invite to register per e-mail, what should I do to register?
A – If you have not received the personalized email inviting you to register to the conference, please contact Conference@fidi.org.

Q – When will we receive our registration confirmation email?
A – The Conference registration email is being sent by FIDI upon confirmation that the online payment by credit card has been accepted.  You will then receive an email confirming your registration and related invoice for your file. Do note that settlement of your company 2013 FIDI membership invoice is a pre-requisite for attending the FIDI Annual Conference (See the Conference Attendance regulations as published on the FIDI website).

Q - How can I get a visa invitation letter?
A – When registering for the conference, you will be asked whether you require a Visa Letter. If you require the letter, please select “yes”. The FIDI Office will be informed, and you will receive the letter attached to your confirmation email.

Q - I have registered for the Conference but I forgot to request the visa letter?
A – Not to panic, you can go back into your registration, by using the unique registration code you received (please see the email confirming your pending registration or your approved registration)to confirm your registration.  In this email, you will be given a link to access your registration information (“personal intranet”). There, you can “Modify” your registration, and proceed to request the Visa Letter.

Q – I’m interested in joining the FIDI-35 Club in order to be entitled to register for its annula conference. How can I become a member of the FIDI-35 Club?

A – There are two ways in which you can register to join the FIDI-35 Club:

1) Either through the FIDI website, in the “my FIDI data” section, you can request to join or

2) You are welcome to email conference@fidi.org requesting your interest in joining the FIDI-35 Club and we will revert back to you will all relevant and necessary information.

Q – Am I eligible for the FIDI-35 Club Rebate on the FIDI Conference registration fee?
A – All FIDI-35 Club members are eligible for the registration rate rebate under the two following conditions: (1) the FIDI-35 Club annual membership fees have been settled and (2) they are registering for the FIDI-35 Club Annual Conference.

Q - What do you mean by a “Social Delegate” participant?
A – A social delegate is a Non-industry attendee. Non-Industry attendees, like spouses, partners, relatives, children and FIDI veterans of the above are welcome to attend provided they are not associated with a non-affiliated business involved in and/or active in the household goods and personal effects transportation and/or relocation industry. For more information and details please consult the Attendance Regulations.

Q - I registered however cannot attend. What should I do? Can I get replaced?
A – You can at any time request the Conference Team for a replacement by someone else from your company. You will need to inform the Conference team and receive their approval at conference@fidi.org.  

Q – As an applicant to join the FIDI Global Alliance, are we allowed to participate in the FIDI 2013 Annual Conference?
A – Applicants are not allowed to attend the FIDI Annual conference.
