Why move with a FIDI company?
FIDI companies are the best specialists in international relocation
The FIDI Quality Certification Programmes
The FIDI-FAIM Quality Certification Programme and the FIDI-DSP Certification programme are the only independently audited certification programmes dedicated exclusively to the international moving and relocation industry.
In order to be FIDI-FAIM and/or FIDI-DSP certified, a company has to comply with over 200 quality requirements covering all aspects of an international relocation. Every facet of a moving company's operations and services to customers is scrupulously checked, such as operational procedures, staff training, vehicle and warehouse maintenance, data protection and risk and supply chain management.
All FIDI Affiliates have to go through a regular third-party audit of their international moving and relocation activities, designed to ensure that they maintain this high level of quality at all times. The audit is performed by independent auditors from EY. If the company fails their audit, they are terminated from FIDI.
How FIDI works
FIDI's role is to set and maintain these standards across its network. As a federation of national trade associations, FIDI does not act as a regulator or dispute resolution body in individual cases and does not intervene in issues between a client and a moving or relocation company. Should a concern arise during a move, the best first step is to raise it with the company directly, in writing. If it remains unresolved, the next point of contact is the trade association representing moving companies in the company's country, some of which offer Alternative Dispute Resolution. Independent consumer protection bodies, or the European Consumer Centre for moves within the EU, can also help.
For an international customer, choosing a FIDI member is the synonym of quality commitment from A to Z
All FAIM certified companies can rely on the global FIDI network for partners which all follow the same high quality standards - meaning that your personal goods are in the safest possible hands, all along the way.
