The Australian International Movers Association (AIMA) has communicated that the Sydney port is currently facing serious congestion. According to AIMA, as of up to the 9th of November, "...whilst improving, the port congestion in Sydney has continued and empty containers tied up in the system are still said to be in the order of 50,000 TEU/equivalent...."

As a result, major shipping lines continue to impose Congestion Surcharges (CGS) at the Port of Sydney. These charges along with a notice from AIMA may be found in the two attachments below.  For more details, you can contact AIMA.
