Sydney Port congestion surcharge

The Australian International Movers Association (AIMA) has communicated that the Sydney port is currently facing serious congestion. According to AIma, as of up to 6 October, "...whilst improving, the port congestion in Sydney has continued and empty containers tied up in the system are still said to be in the order of 50,000 TEU/equivalent...."

As a result, major shipping lines continue to impose Congestion Surcharges (CGS) at the Port of Sydney. These charges along with a notice from AIMA may be found in the two attachments below.  For more details, you can contact AIMA.
